The Lincoln-Way West boys bowling team bounced back from a slow start to earn a spot in the Gold Division of the season’s largest invitational. Finishing 8th out of 44 teams, the result was a strong showing, especially considering the team’s relative inexperience.
Seniors Jayden Kristie and Logan Nicholls were key to the team’s success, finishing 13th and 14th, respectively, and both earned medals for their performances. Kristie’s consistency and Nicholls’ precision helped provide much-needed stability.
In addition, Ryan Richter and Matt Staniszewski posted solid 600-series scores in the morning session, which played a crucial role in pushing the team into the Gold Division. The team’s collective effort, including strong contributions from underclassmen, showed impressive growth and potential.
The team will look to build on this momentum as they head into the Plainfield South Invitational next weekend, aiming to continue their strong performance as the season progresses.
