Lincoln Way West extended its winning streak to two games, defeating Stagg 57-40 on Friday night in their second home conference game of the week.
According to the Warriors, they improved to 11-10 overall and 5-5 in conference play with the victory. Max Gabriel led the team in scoring with 18 points, while Wyatt Carlson contributed 15 points to help secure the win. Lincoln Way West controlled the game from start to finish, maintaining a strong lead throughout the second half. Their defense played a key role in limiting Stagg’s scoring opportunities, while their offense capitalized on timely shooting and smart ball movement.
"We played solid defense and executed well offensively," said Warriors head coach Tanner Mitchell. "Max and Wyatt did a great job leading the way, and our team effort made a big difference tonight."
With the win, Lincoln Way West will now look ahead to their next game, a matchup against Lincoln Way Central on Tuesday night. The Warriors aim to continue building momentum as they seek to improve their conference standing and continue their push toward the postseason.
