Lincoln-Way West's boys lacrosse team secured a decisive 14-7 victory over Benet Academy on Saturday, driven by a strong start and consistent offensive performance throughout the game.

According to senior midfielder Matt Konow, who led the Warriors with four goals, "We came out with energy and never let up. It was a great team win." Senior attackman Dylan Thorpe contributed with a hat trick, while junior midfielders Carter Krynski and Brayden Nelson each added two goals. Sophomore attackman Collin Kannenberg also scored twice.

On the defensive side, junior goalie Logan Lahey recorded 10 saves, frustrating Benet's attack and helping to maintain the early lead. Sophomore faceoff specialist Logan Yerkey excelled at the X, winning 78% of his faceoffs and providing the Warriors with consistent possession.

The early momentum for Lincoln-Way West proved insurmountable for Benet Academy, as the Warriors maintained their lead throughout the match. Head coach Jack Zajc commented on the team's performance: "Our chemistry is coming together. When we play like this, we're tough to beat."

With this victory, Lincoln-Way West improves its record and looks forward to its next matchup later this week.
