Lincoln-Way West's varsity baseball team faced a challenging match on Monday, resulting in a 5-1 defeat against Lockport at their home field.

According to the game summary, the Warriors managed to keep the game competitive in the early stages, limiting the Porters to two runs over five innings. Southpaw Michael Pettit pitched for five and one-third innings, allowing only five hits and striking out four batters. Pettit also contributed offensively with one of Lincoln-Way West’s four hits.

Quinten Lange was responsible for the Warriors’ sole RBI, achieving a 1-for-3 performance and maintaining his consistent batting record. Ian Hazelip and Anthony Vita each recorded hits, providing several opportunities for Lincoln-Way West to narrow the score gap.
