Lincoln-Way West senior Aiden Kettelson enters his final season as a key facilitator for the Warriors, bringing four years of program experience and steady improvement to the setter position.
Kettelson began his career on the freshman team before advancing through the ranks to varsity, where he now directs the offense at 6-foot-1. He said his primary focus has been becoming more consistent as his responsibilities have grown.
“I feel like I’ve gotten better over the years,” Kettelson said. “Just trying to be more consistent.”
As the team’s setter, Kettelson plays a critical role in creating scoring opportunities and maintaining rhythm throughout matches. He believes the Warriors have the talent to compete at a high level this season, with conference success among their top goals.
“I think we can go pretty far,” he said. “We want to win conference.”
Kettelson also highlighted the impact of both emerging and returning teammates. Freshman Matt Madden has impressed early and is expected to fill an important role, while David — one of the team’s middle hitters — has made significant strides since last season.
“David’s gotten way better,” Kettelson said. “He’s worked a lot on his hitting.”
With experienced leadership and developing talent throughout the roster, Kettelson hopes to guide Lincoln-Way West toward a strong postseason run in his senior year.
