The Lincoln-Way West (LWW) girls varsity badminton team secured a decisive victory against Homewood-Flossmoor, winning 12-3 in a home-court match on Wednesday evening.
According to the team’s coach, Chris Hack, “Our girls showed incredible grit today.” He noted that the Warriors demonstrated resilience and consistency by sweeping all four matches that extended to three games. Hack emphasized that “to go the distance in four separate matches and come out on top each time shows how hard they’ve been working.”
The win enhances the Warriors’ momentum for the season as they continue to focus on team chemistry and individual performances. With effective net play, strong serves, and strategic shot placement, Lincoln-Way West dominated their South Suburban Conference rivals from the outset.
Lincoln-Way West’s triumph over Homewood-Flossmoor represents another significant achievement in what appears to be a promising season. The team aims to maintain this energy in their upcoming match as they strive for conference dominance. The Warriors are set to compete again later this week against another formidable opponent on the road.
