Brezniak and Warriors battle hard in loss to Bradley

0Comments

Lincoln-Way West boys varsity basketball team narrowly lost to Bradley in a closely contested match on Friday night, with a final score of 47-45. This game marked their last conference matchup of the season.

With this defeat, Lincoln-Way West’s record stands at 12-16 overall and 5-11 in conference play. Senior guard Nick Brezniak was the leading scorer for the team, contributing 16 points. However, his efforts were not enough to counter Bradley’s late-game surge.

Head coach Tanner Mitchell expressed pride in his team’s performance despite the loss. “We fought hard until the final buzzer, but just couldn’t get the shots to fall when we needed them,” Mitchell said.

The Warriors have little time to reflect on this setback as they are scheduled to play again on Saturday afternoon at home against Joliet Catholic. The game is set to start at 2:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for Lincoln-Way West to recover and finish the regular season positively.
