Lincoln-Way West’s girls Volleyball Senior night proved to be a triumphant evening, culminating in a convincing win against Sandburg.
The team’s dominance was evident in their two-set victory, securing scores of 25-20 and 25-23.
Key contributors included Caroline Smith and Elly Decker, who each tallied 9 kills.
Erin Quigley and Laney Tuttle delivered strong defensive performances with 3 blocks, 1 kill, and 11 digs, respectively.
With momentum on their side, the team now looks ahead to the regional playoffs, commencing next week with a highly anticipated matchup against Plainfield North Tigers.
Plainfield North comes into the playoffs with a 9-23 record overall and 6-5 in the Southwest Prairie Conference, which was good enough for seventh place. The Tigers come into the game on a hot streak, however, having won four of their last five games.
