As the Lincoln-Way boys lacrosse team prepares for the 2025 season, head coach Tyler Jackson is concentrating on fostering team chemistry, developing leadership, and aiming for a sectional title.
Jackson began playing lacrosse in 2008 and transitioned into coaching after being inspired by mentors who influenced his passion for the game. He is now eager to pass on that enthusiasm to his players. “We have a large senior class this year, many of whom have a lot of experience,” Jackson said. “I’m excited to see how their leadership can guide the team, and I’m also looking forward to building for the future.”
According to Jackson, with lacrosse continuing to grow as a collegiate sport, he is motivated by the opportunities it provides young athletes. He believes the game represents an untapped market for scholarships and enjoys helping players reach higher levels of competition. This season, Jackson has one clear goal: winning sectionals.
To build team chemistry, according to Jackson, the Warriors hold team dinners and engage in casual activities like two-handed touch football. Many players have been competing together since early childhood, strengthening their bond both on and off the field.
