Conyer Fehrenbacher and William Spee helped power Lincoln-Way West’s boys water polo team to a strong 2-0-1 finish at the Buffalo Grove quad, highlighted by two dominant wins and a hard-fought tie.

The event took place April 4, 2026, at Buffalo Grove High School.

Lincoln-Way West opened with a commanding 15-1 win over Conant, controlling the tempo early and never allowing momentum to shift. The Warriors executed efficiently on offense, converting scoring opportunities while maintaining a disciplined defensive presence that limited clean looks for their opponent.

The momentum carried into the second matchup, where Lincoln-Way West rolled to an 18-1 victory over Deerfield. Fehrenbacher and Spee played key roles in driving the attack, helping create scoring chances and sustaining pressure throughout the contest. The Warriors’ ability to move the ball and finish consistently proved to be a difference-maker.

In the final game, Lincoln-Way West battled Buffalo Grove to an 8-8 tie in a competitive, back-and-forth matchup. The Warriors matched scoring runs and stayed composed late, preserving the draw against a strong host team.

Overall, Lincoln-Way West showcased depth and balance across all three games. With contributions from multiple players, including Fehrenbacher and Spee, the Warriors continued to build momentum early in the season.
