The Lincoln-Way West boys’ cross country team demonstrated commendable effort on Senior Night but was ultimately defeated by their rivals, Lincoln-Way Central, with a score of 39-22 in a dual meet held at The Oaks in Mokena.
The event took place on October 7, 2025, serving as the final home showcase for Lincoln-Way West’s senior runners. These athletes included Nick Dul, Anthony Lusciatti, Logan Kennedy, Conyer Fehrenbacher, Quinn Cecich, Adrian Acosta, and Luke Bergen. Each senior concluded their high school careers with a spirited performance.
According to the results of the meet, senior standout Nick Dul secured first place overall. Dul has had an impressive season marked by record-breaking times and top finishes. Additionally, junior Ethan Brauch achieved a personal-best time during the race, contributing to one of the team’s fastest collective performances of the year.
Despite falling short in points against their rivals, the Warriors’ determination and leadership were evident throughout the competition. Head coach and teammates praised the seniors for establishing a culture of hard work and resilience that has characterized Lincoln-Way West’s cross country program. As they approach postseason competitions, West aims to maintain this momentum in upcoming invitational meets.
