Lincoln-Way West secured a 3-1 victory over Marist on March 20, driven by a strong offensive effort and disciplined team play.

According to the match details, senior forward Kiersten White led the Warriors with two goals, while Ella McVicker contributed one. Katelyn Mrozowski and Kate Kinsella each provided an assist, enhancing the team’s attack. The Warriors outshot Marist 13-6 and held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, demonstrating control in both possession and opportunities throughout the match.

“Marist was a tough battle,” head coach Joe Stephens said. “Great team with great coaches. Our girls took on the challenge and worked together as a team to pull off the victory.” White opened the scoring early in the first half, capitalizing on a through ball from Kinsella. McVicker added the second goal before halftime off a well-placed pass from Mrozowski. White struck again in the second half to seal the win, continuing her strong start to the season.

Defensively, Lincoln-Way West stayed organized and limited Marist’s chances, allowing just one goal on six total shots. The Warriors’ back line and midfield worked cohesively to disrupt Marist’s rhythm and maintain control of the game’s pace.

Stephens praised the team’s energy, teamwork, and composure under pressure. With this win, Lincoln-Way West improves its early-season record and gains momentum heading into its next contest. The Warriors are scheduled to return to action Saturday, March 22.

The program continues to emphasize growth on and off the field, with players stepping into leadership roles as chemistry builds toward a strong 2025 campaign.
