Girls’ Volleyball: Decker, Smith, Goyer, Warriors shut-out LT on road

Senior Elly Decker had nine kills, senior Caroline Smith had seven and junior Lily Goyer had six and three blocks as the Warriors beat Lyons Township, two sets to one on Thurs. Aug. 29.

The match took place at Lyons Township High School in La Grange.

The Warriors won the first set, 25-20 and the second set 25-16.

Also for the Warriors, senior Laney Tuttle had 13 digs and 12 passes and junior Claire Murphy has a team-leading 23 assists.

Up next: the Warriors play St. Ignatius on Fri. Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. in the 2024 Mizuno Crimson Classic at Plainfield North H.S.
