The LWW girls swimming team competed against Stagg on Thursday Oct. 10 and with the girl’s season ending every point and victory counts.
Giving it their all, the girls ultimately fell short, scoring 82 points compared to Staggs 103.
Although the matchup did not result in a win for the Warriors, there were some bright spots in certain events.
For the varsity squad, the Warriors won three separate events that included the 1-Mtr Dive, 100-Yard Breaststroke, and the 100-Yard Freestyle.
Kate Giroux and Ally Dean finished first and second in the 1-Mtr Dive, with scores of 202.50 and 159.65 respectively.
Isabella Shenberger won the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:20.61, while fellow teammate Dana Dykshorn won the 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 59.71.
The LWW Junior Varsity squad fared extremely well, winning eight out of the 12 events in which they competed.
Lincoln Way-West will compete in the Andrew Invite on October 12th.
