The Lincoln-Way West girls swim team finished 7th place at the Andrew Invite on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Giving it their all, the girls ended the day with 133 points in the 12 event match.
As she normally does, Kate Giroux competed in the 1-Mtr Dive event and finished with an impressive fourth place finish.
Isabella Shenberger finished the day with a sixth place finish in the 200-Yard Freestyle event with a finals time of 2:10.94, which was good enough to give the Warriors nine points on the event.
In the 200-Yard IM event multiple girls for LWW competed, with Moya Boyle finishing the fastest for the Warriors and established a finals time of 2:32.94, allowing her to finish the event in eighth place.
Multiple other girls did well in multiple other events and all the ladies deserve a round of applause for their efforts.
The girls season is ending soon and the IHSA sectionals loom in the near future.
The girls will be out of commission for a bit as they will wait till October 25 for a diving competition against Stagg, and then October 26th where they will compete in a swimming competition against Lockport. Both of these matchups will be featured away from home.
