The LWW girls’ varsity volleyball team faced a rollercoaster of emotions Tues. Oct 8th, as they lost the opening set.
Lincoln-Way West’s unrelenting spirit drove them to secure the second set, only to succumb to a strong opposing team in the third, losing 25-17.
Lily Goyer’s exceptional skill at the net resulted in an impressive 9 kills and 4 crucial blocks, making her a formidable force.
Caroline Smith complemented Goyer’s efforts with 8 kills and 4 blocks, demonstrating her own impressive capabilities.
On the defensive front, Laney Tuttle shone with 10 digs and one strategically placed ace, underscoring her quick thinking and agility.
Despite the setback, the team’s resilience, coordination, and individual brilliance provided many positives to build upon.
The girls’ capacity to recover and push forward after a tough start bodes well for their future prospects in the sport.
