The Lincoln-Way West baseball team opens its 2026 season March 23 when the Warriors host Marist High School in a nonconference matchup.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln-Way West High School as the Warriors begin the new season following a strong campaign a year ago.
Lincoln-Way West enters the season after finishing 28-8 overall in 2025 and placing third in the Southwest Suburban Conference with an 11-6 record. The Warriors put together one of the program’s strongest seasons, highlighted by dominant offensive performances and several convincing victories throughout the spring.
Among last year’s highlights were shutout wins over Tinley Park, Shepard, and Stagg, along with key conference victories against Lockport, Andrew, and Lincoln-Way Central. Lincoln-Way West also picked up notable nonconference wins against Hampshire, Willowbrook, and Oswego East during the stretch run of the season.
The opener against Marist begins a new chapter for the Warriors as they look to build momentum early and continue the program’s success heading into another competitive Southwest Suburban Conference schedule.
