Lincoln-Way West girls bowling turned in a strong showing at SWSC Conference Day, highlighted by a second-place varsity finish and a first-place performance from the junior varsity squad.
The event was held Jan. 30 at Palos Lanes, where Lincoln-Way West competed against conference opponents to close out the regular season.
The varsity team finished second overall, supported by steady performances throughout the lineup. Paige DeBella placed seventh individually, while Allison Whalen followed closely with an eighth-place finish as the Warriors remained competitive across all games. Lincoln-Way West stayed consistent on the lanes and maintained its position among the top teams during conference play.
The junior varsity group delivered a standout performance, capturing first place as a team. Eve Brkovic led the way with a first-place individual finish, setting the tone early in the competition. Gwen Yakas added a fourth-place result, and Michela Vinci finished fifth as the Warriors continued to build separation throughout the day. The JV squad’s effort reflected strong depth and continued development within the program.
Lincoln-Way West wrapped up the regular season with positive momentum, combining team success with individual achievements at the conference level. The Warriors now turn their focus toward postseason competition following a well-rounded performance at Palos Lanes.
