According to the team’s performance analysis, West played a competitive first half but faced challenges in containing Phillips Academy’s offensive strategy during the second half. Despite this setback, the Warriors exhibited resilience throughout the tournament, underscored by notable individual performances.
Senior guard Wyatt Carlson was recognized with All-Tournament honors following his impressive performance, averaging 20 points per game. Carlson’s scoring ability was instrumental in keeping West competitive in each match, consistently providing an offensive boost.
Although disappointed with the tournament outcome, the Warriors expressed optimism regarding their progress. Carlson’s exceptional play particularly instilled confidence as they approach the second half of the season.
West plans to regroup and concentrate on upcoming games, aiming to capitalize on the momentum generated by Carlson’s remarkable showing. The Warriors are scheduled to return to action on Friday, December 17th against DeKalb as they continue their season.
