The Lincoln-Way West boys’ bowling team commenced its season with a third-place finish at the Lisle Lanes Naperville Bakers Classic.

The event took place on November 8 at Lisle Lanes.

According to head coach Scott Jablonski, the young lineup included two sophomores, Liam Letherby and Nate Kueltzo, who made their first appearance at the event. Nathan Kueltzo competed in his first Varsity tournament. Patrick Berlin, also a sophomore, earned team MVP honors for the second consecutive year by closing an impressive 90 percent of his frames in the Baker format.

Jablonski noted that senior Matthew Staniszewski, a four-year Varsity member, along with fellow senior Nick Dul, provide veteran leadership as the Warriors aim for another state run.
