The Lincoln-Way West boys’ bowling team secured a fourth-place finish at the Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) tournament, demonstrating consistent performance despite not achieving high scores.
According to the team’s results, they maintained an average of over 199 pins per game. This consistency is seen as vital for their preparations for the upcoming postseason competitions. Remaining in fourth place is viewed positively as the team gears up for Regionals and Sectionals in the next two weeks.
To progress further, the team will need to either maintain or improve their current standing. Coach Scott Jablonski expressed optimism, stating, “Keep learning and growing, and good things will come.”
A notable achievement during the tournament was the recognition of two seniors who received All-Conference honors in their final year at SWSC. Jayden Kristie led with a remarkable 1,369 series, averaging 228 pins per game and finishing third overall. Logan Nicholls also performed well with a 1,245 series and a 207 average, securing ninth place.
Jablonski highlighted the importance of these seniors’ contributions throughout the season: “We are very proud of our seniors for their leadership and for helping this young team settle in for the challenges ahead.”
