The Lincoln Way West Warriors boys bowling team secured second place at the Lincoln Way Cup during the weekend of December 21st and 22nd. The team narrowly missed the top spot, finishing just behind Lincoln Way Central.
The event included teams from Lincoln Way West, Lincoln Way Central, and Lincoln Way East, serving as a significant competition ahead of the postseason. According to the final scores, Lincoln Way West achieved a total of 6335 points, falling short by 19 points to Lincoln Way Central’s winning score of 6354. Lincoln Way East concluded in third place with a score of 5295.
Junior Matthew Staniszewski emerged as the leading performer for Lincoln Way West with a score of 1299, marking the highest among his teammates. Freshman Patrick Berlin followed closely with a score of 1284, while senior Jayden Christie contributed with a score of 1272.
Warriors head coach Scott Jablonski expressed pride in his team’s performance. “I am so proud of these kids,” Jablonski said. “The experience they got today is going to help so much in the postseason.”
