Lincoln-Way West’s boys bowling team captured the regional championship and set multiple school records with a historic performance that included an individual title and a perfect game.
The regional tournament was held Jan. 16.
The Warriors produced one of the most dominant days in program history, finishing with a team total of 6,823 to establish a new school record while placing five bowlers in the top 12 of the overall standings. Ryan Richter led the way with a first-place finish to earn All-Regional Champion honors and rolled a perfect 300 game during his series, marking one of the top individual performances ever recorded by a Lincoln-Way West bowler. Liam Letherby followed closely with a second-place finish to give the Warriors the top two spots on the podium, while Matthew Staniszewski placed eighth, Patrick Berlin finished ninth and Nick Dul rounded out the scoring group with a 12th-place result.
The combination of high individual series, consistent frame-by-frame scoring and strong spare conversion across the lineup allowed Lincoln-Way West to separate from the field and post a team score that surpassed the previous school mark. The performance reflected the depth and balance of the roster, with each bowler contributing to a day that featured both individual excellence and collective execution.
The regional championship and record-setting total capped an unforgettable day for the Warriors and added another milestone to the Lincoln-Way West boys bowling program’s history.
