Lincoln-Way West High School’s boys cross country team delivered a noteworthy performance on Saturday, September 27, at a competitive meet. The team placed sixth overall with 147 points, showcasing individual efforts that made a significant impact.
According to the results, Nicholas Dul led the Warriors by clocking an impressive time of 15:20.37, securing third place overall. His strong finish kept him in contention with the leaders and provided Lincoln-Way West with a crucial advantage against a competitive field.
Backing Dul, Parker Ethridge finished in 16:44.64 for 21st place, while Anthony Lusciatti contributed by finishing 27th with a time of 16:53.52. Adian Acosta and Tyler Jastrzab completed the scoring five for the Warriors, placing 41st and 55th respectively, demonstrating the team’s depth and determination.
Quinn Cecich and Brian Rys also added solid performances by finishing in 56th and 57th places respectively, further highlighting Lincoln-Way West’s ability to perform well as a unit when needed.
Although Lincoln-Way Central secured the team title with 39 points, Lincoln-Way West demonstrated their standing among the region’s top programs by averaging a strong time of 17:01 across their scoring runners. With Dul’s podium finish and consistent support from his teammates, Lincoln-Way West appears poised to achieve greater success as they approach the postseason.
