Lincoln-Way West boys swimming enters the season with growing confidence and a strong senior- and junior-led roster under longtime coach Eric Pavlacka.
According to Pavlacka, after posting a 5-2 record last winter, the Warriors aim to continue building on one of the program’s most consistent stretches and push toward greater success in both invitational and conference competition.
The team returns several key seniors who will anchor the lineup, including Chase Benz, Luke Dorman, Conyer Fehrenbacher, Ethan Ferrucci, Maverick Krynski-Fabbi, John Kucala, Nathan Morandi, Santiago Reyes, Austin Seglem, Billy Spee, and Tyler Stasiak.
Juniors Tony Favela, Noah Kueltzo, Liam Minarik, Jackson Ray, Camden Ring, Steve Roberts, Alex Roedl, and Jackson Tunno provide additional experience and depth. This mix gives the Warriors leadership and talent across sprint and mid-distance events. Pavlacka says this core is expected to drive relay success, bolster key individual events, and help younger swimmers develop under competitive pressure.
Pavlacka has guided Lincoln-Way West to a 19-19-1 mark over the past five seasons — the program’s most successful period to date. With 39 total victories in 15 seasons, he states that the Warriors enter the season focused on improving consistency, lowering key times, and expanding state-qualifying opportunities.
