The Lincoln-Way West Boys Swimming & Diving Team is preparing for the upcoming season under the guidance of Head Coach Eric Pavlacka. The team has achieved top-three finishes in both Conference and Sectional meets for three consecutive years.
According to Pavlacka, the team’s objectives this season include maintaining their high performance level and qualifying multiple athletes for the State meet. The goals set by the team are to secure top-three finishes in Conference and Sectionals, deliver strong performances in Junior Varsity (JV) Conference, produce several individual State qualifiers, and have at least one relay team qualify for State.
The team returns with a strong core, having graduated only two varsity swimmers last year. Notable returners include State qualifiers Billy Spee, Colin Stack, and Ethan Ferrucci. Ferrucci also distinguished himself academically by earning a perfect score of 36 on his ACT. Pavlacka expressed confidence that the team’s balance and experience will position them well for another successful season.
