Lincoln-Way West High School’s boys wrestling team is set to embark on the 2025-26 season with aspirations of building upon a decade of success under the guidance of head coach Brian Glynn. Over his 17-year tenure, Glynn has achieved an impressive record of 329 wins and 72 losses.
Following a successful 17-5 campaign last year, the Warriors return with a strong roster led by senior and junior athletes. They also welcome freshman Jackson Trotter, who is expected to strengthen the lineup significantly. Key returners include Haden Anderson, Logan Biggs, Blake Cagwin, Carter DiBenedetto, Tyler Doran, Maxwell Herman, Brayden Nelson, Ben Parks, Jack Strezo, James Talley Jr., and Brennan Whitesell.
Glynn has consistently positioned Lincoln-Way West as a formidable contender in Class 2A and 3A tournaments. The team has secured multiple regional titles and produced numerous state qualifiers. The program focuses on technical skill development, conditioning, and mental toughness—traits that have contributed to maintaining one of the strongest winning percentages in Illinois wrestling at .820.
With experienced leadership from its senior members and promising new talent like Trotter joining the ranks, Lincoln-Way West aims to continue its tradition of excellence and achieve top finishes at key meets this season.
