The Lincoln-Way West cross country teams achieved notable success at the 7th Oak Forest Mad Dash, with the boys’ team securing the title and the girls’ team finishing strongly among top competitors. The event took place on Saturday at Oak Forest High School in Oak Forest, Illinois.
The meet, held on October 11, 2025, featured a competitive field of local and regional runners across multiple divisions. According to the results, senior Nicholas Dul led the Warriors by claiming first place in the boys’ three-mile varsity race with a time of 15:36.67. He was followed by teammates Hunter Spee in fourth place with a time of 16:26.43 and Parker Ethridge in sixth place with a time of 16:47.14.
For the girls’ team, Penelope Pinciak earned a runner-up finish with a time of 20:29.30. Ava Ferrucci and Celest Reiling also contributed to Lincoln-Way West’s strong performance by placing fifth and sixth, respectively, with times of 21:11.37 and 21:13.67.
Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way West is set to compete in the regional meet next weekend, with races scheduled to begin Saturday morning at a location yet to be announced.
In last year’s Oak Forest Mad Dash, Lincoln-Way West also delivered commendable performances, with Dul finishing among the top five runners, indicating steady progress leading to this year’s dominant showing.
