Lincoln-Way West’s girls bowling team placed fifth overall and produced strong individual finishes at the Morris Invite, continuing a stretch of consistent performances against a competitive field.

The tournament was held Jan. 17 in Morris.

The Warriors were led by Jessica Figueroa, who captured the Super Sub championship with a steady series across all games to finish atop the individual standings in the Super Sub division. Michelle Schmitz followed with a 13th-place finish, while Paige DeBella placed 19th, giving Lincoln-Way West three bowlers inside the top 20. The team’s balanced scoring and ability to stay composed through each game helped the Warriors remain in contention throughout the event and secure a top-five team result.

Across the lineup, Lincoln-Way West showed consistency in spare conversion and pin carry, allowing the team to build momentum as the tournament progressed. The Warriors closed strong in the final games, maintaining focus and execution in pressure frames while competing against programs from across the region. The overall effort reflected the depth of the roster and the group’s ability to perform in large-field invitational settings.

The fifth-place finish marked another positive step for the Warriors as they continue to gain experience, build confidence and establish themselves as a competitive presence in the postseason picture.
