The Lincoln-Way West girls bowling team turned in a strong performance, finishing third overall at the Plainfield South Invitational.
The tournament was held Jan. 10 at Town & Country Lanes, where the Warriors placed third out of 23 teams with a total score of 5,494 in a deep and competitive field.
Individually, Lincoln-Way West was led by Michelle Schmitz, who placed 11th overall with a series score of 1,163, providing steady production throughout the day. Madison Tippett also finished among the top bowlers in the tournament, placing 20th with a score of 1,094 and adding key points to the team total.
As a lineup, the Warriors showed strong balance and consistency across all games, limiting open frames and maintaining solid pin carry to stay near the top of the standings. Each bowler contributed to the overall score, allowing Lincoln-Way West to remain in contention with several of the area’s top programs throughout the event.
The third-place finish reflected the depth and reliability of the Warriors’ lineup, as the team continued to build momentum and confidence against quality competition.
