The Lincoln-Way West Varsity bowling team secured first place in the Lincoln-Way Cup on Saturday, December 21, achieving a total score of 5,343 and bringing the trophy back to their school.
According to the team’s performance records, three members of the Warriors earned individual medals for their exceptional performances. Michelle Schmitz led the team by capturing the individual championship with a series score of 1,208, averaging 201 per game.
Schmitz was followed by Paige DeBella and Madison Tippett, who both tied for fourth place with scores of 1,050 each.
The victory was significant for the team and was celebrated by supportive parents and former players who were present to witness the Warriors’ success.
