Lincoln-Way West’s girls varsity swimming team put together a strong performance Thursday, earning a 92–77 victory over Joliet Township.
The Warriors displayed balance throughout the meet, turning in consistent efforts in both individual races and relays. Early wins set the tone, and depth across the roster ensured West maintained control of the scoreboard.
Momentum built behind several standout swims as the Warriors capitalized on technical execution and energy in the lanes. Relay units added valuable points, and late-meet finishes secured the cushion needed to close out the win. Coaches praised the team’s determination, noting the blend of experienced swimmers and younger athletes stepping up in key events.
For Lincoln-Way West, the victory marked an encouraging start as the squad continues to shape its identity this fall. With conference competition looming, the Warriors aim to use this early-season success as a springboard into tougher tests ahead.
The 92–77 result reflected the program’s commitment to preparation and teamwork. Lincoln-Way West will look to build on its home triumph as the season progresses, keeping focus on steady improvement and strong finishes in the pool.
