The Lincoln-Way West girls’ tennis program is poised to enter 2025 with a sense of momentum and ambition, following a successful season that saw the team secure its first-ever sectional championship. The Warriors are determined to build on this achievement as they embark on a new era.
According to the team, despite the graduation of nine seniors from last year’s historic squad, the Warriors will return with a mix of experienced talent and new players eager to meet the challenges ahead. Leading the charge is senior Grace Cremieux, described as a returning state qualifier whose skills and competitive spirit set an example for her teammates. Senior Elle Pruim is also expected to provide leadership and consistency in a lineup brimming with potential.
The team roster includes Charlotte Gauthier, Gabby Gentle, Amy Texpa, and McKenna Williams, all anticipated to contribute significantly as the Warriors aim for another successful postseason. Off the court, team manager Emmelie Amador-Benitez plays an essential role in maintaining team cohesion and focus.
With 50 players in the program, depth is not a concern for Lincoln-Way West. Coaches express confidence that while this season will test their younger core, the energy and competitive drive within the lineup could propel them to even greater achievements. For the Lady Netters, their recent history is viewed not as an endpoint but as a foundation for future success.
