Lincoln Way West Girls Varsity Swimming Finishes 7th at SWSC Conference

The Lincoln Way West High School Girls Varsity Swimming team concluded their participation in the Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) meet with a seventh-place finish, accumulating 97 points on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

According to reports from the event held at Lincoln Way West High School, the competition began at 9 a.m. and featured teams from across the SWSC. Despite not achieving a top-three position, several team members achieved personal bests and contributed significantly to the team’s overall score. Notable performances included top-five finishes in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard medley relay events. Coaches commended the swimmers for their effort and teamwork, emphasizing that the young squad gained valuable experience against formidable opponents.

In their previous conference meet, Lincoln Way West finished eighth with a total of 89 points. The recent seventh-place result indicates slight improvement and reflects steady progress under Head Coach Emily Sanchez’s leadership. The team aims to maintain this momentum as they enter postseason competitions.
