Lincoln-Way West’s junior varsity volleyball team commenced their conference play with a decisive victory on Tuesday night, defeating rival Lincoln-Way Central in straight sets, 25-18 and 25-15, at home.

According to the match details, the Warriors distributed contributions across their roster. Cailyn Smith led with 12 service points, two aces, and ten assists. Libby Condon added eight service points, four aces, and eight digs. Brooklynne Voss recorded six kills while her sister Bailey Voss contributed four kills and two aces.

On defense, Erin Donovan achieved four blocks and Vada Skwirut added two blocks along with two kills. Matelyn Jaral contributed four kills and five digs, while Avery Muldoon maintained steadiness in the back row with six digs and two aces.

The victory gives Lincoln-Way West a 1-0 record in conference play and adds another chapter to the crosstown rivalry. The Warriors aim to maintain this momentum as they progress through the season, focusing on developing a balanced attack and strong defensive presence.
