The Lincoln-Way West Warriors junior varsity (JV) wrestling team secured first place at the Wolford Classic, surpassing Bradley-Bourbonnais and other competitors.
According to tournament organizers, the event took place on December 23 at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School.
The Warriors put together a consistent performance across all weight classes, which played a major role in their overall team victory. Lincoln-Way West recorded the highest team score of the day, with multiple wrestlers advancing through their brackets and earning key points that helped create separation from the rest of the field.
Individual standouts included first-place finishes from Sebastian Rys (106), Charlie Tustin (120), and Nolan Glynn (126), while Nolan Dykshorn (120) added a second-place result. Zeke Kundinger (144), Sean O’Connor (150), Bryce Neville (157), and Cameron Moskos (190) each placed second, with Riley Kallas (215) rounding out the scoring with a third-place finish. That balanced production reflected the program’s depth at the junior varsity level, as contributions came throughout the lineup and in crucial placement matches late in the tournament.
Lincoln-Way West is set to compete again on January 10 against Oswego and several other teams in a mega duel setting at Oswego High School.
