Lincoln-Way West Places Second at East Triangular

Lincoln-Way West boys swimming finished second at a three-team meet against Plainfield and Lincoln-Way East.

The meet was held Jan. 29 at Lincoln-Way East High School, where Plainfield took first place with 115 points, followed by Lincoln-Way West with 93 points and Lincoln-Way East with 83.

Lincoln-Way West turned in a strong all-around performance across individual and relay events, relying on depth throughout the lineup to secure its second-place finish. Several Warriors contributed points in multiple races as the meet remained competitive through the final events. Seniors provided steady leadership in the pool, while underclassmen continued to gain valuable varsity experience in a multi-team setting. The Warriors maintained consistency across strokes and distances, helping separate themselves from Lincoln-Way East as the meet progressed.

The Warriors’ lineup featured a balanced mix of upperclassmen and younger swimmers throughout the meet. Seniors Chase Benz, Conyer Fehrenbacher, Ethan Ferrucci, John Kucala and Maverick Krynski-Fabbi anchored the effort, while freshmen Jack Casey, Colin Dykshorn and Jaden Goldschnikl, along with sophomores Jackson Denton, Calvin Huelsman and Carter Krawczyk, added depth across events. Lincoln-Way West closed the night with a composed finish, rounding out a solid team performance in a competitive triangular meet.
