Lincoln-Way West senior Nick Dul delivered a record-breaking performance this past weekend at the Richard Spring Invitational, shattering a 10-year school record in boys’ cross country.
According to reports, Dul completed the challenging three-mile course in 14:38, averaging 4:53 per mile. Against a competitive field of 577 runners, he placed 15th overall, showcasing his speed and endurance. His performance helped the Warriors tally 811 points, securing a 29th-place team finish out of 80 teams in one of the toughest meets of the season. Dul’s leadership and consistency have been key for Lincoln-Way West, setting a high standard for teammates both on and off the course.
Dul is noted as a multi-sport standout who previously qualified for state competitions in cross country, bowling, and track. This highlights his versatility and dedication. Coaches and teammates praised his relentless work ethic and commitment to improving every week.
