Lincoln-Way West girls’ volleyball team has emerged as a formidable contender in the SouthWest Suburban Conference, currently leading the standings with an unblemished league record.

According to recent reports, the Warriors, who hold a 16-9 overall record, have navigated a challenging schedule by leveraging their resilience and depth. Their performance has been particularly noteworthy in recent matches. After defeating Lincoln-Way Central 2-0 on September 23, they secured consecutive victories against Bradley-Bourbonnais on September 25 and Stagg on September 30. The team’s winning streak extended into October with a 2-0 win over Oswego East on October 1.

With a 3-0 conference record, Lincoln-Way West shares the top position but distinguishes itself through consistent play. The Warriors have achieved 34 set wins against just 24 losses this season, demonstrating their capacity to excel in tight contests. Tournament triumphs over Barrington, Hinsdale Central, and Freeburg underscore their ability to compete against strong opponents, while decisive wins over Thornwood and Blue Island Eisenhower highlight their balanced approach.

The team is now preparing for an important road match against Lockport on October 7, which could be pivotal in determining first place in the standings.
