Lincoln-Way West Boys Varsity Basketball achieved a 66-61 victory over Andrew High School on Tuesday night, advancing to a 10-10 overall record and 4-5 in conference play.
According to the game summary, the Warriors were led by senior Max Gabriel, who scored 20 points. Wyatt Carlson contributed 17 points, Nick Brezeniak added 12, and Luke Schoppe finished with 10, contributing to the team’s well-rounded offensive effort.
The match was closely contested throughout. However, Lincoln-Way West’s balanced scoring enabled them to pull away in the final minutes for the win. The team has now secured two consecutive victories and aims to maintain this momentum as they prepare to face Stagg on Friday night.
“This was a big win for us,” said head coach Tanner Mitchell. “We’re starting to click as a team, and we’ll need to keep that momentum going against Stagg.” The Warriors will aim to extend their winning streak in their next matchup.
