Lincoln-Way West Warriors Boys Soccer Banking on Senior Leadership

0Comments

The Lincoln-Way West Warriors boys soccer team is set to begin the 2025 season with a roster rich in experience and determination. Following a challenging campaign last fall, the Warriors are looking to turn over a new leaf with a senior-heavy lineup poised to lead a comeback.

According to the team’s plans, ten seniors will form the backbone of the squad, offering leadership both on and off the field. Marcel Lepionka and Jackson Hirschboeck are expected to lead the offensive charge, bringing their scoring abilities and playmaking skills. Defensively, Adrian Ontiveros and Ryan Saysongkham are anticipated to fortify the back line, providing stability and increasing the team’s chances of maintaining clean sheets.

Midfield strength will be bolstered by Cohen Cox, Landyn Chellino, and Karter Kelderhouse, who aim to control the tempo and facilitate play across both ends of the pitch. Ben Parks, Cristobal Robledo, and Nicholas Vicario complete a roster filled with senior talent and versatility.

This season also introduces a tactical change for the Warriors. The team is transitioning to a 4-1-4-1 formation, which aims to balance defensive security with attacking flexibility. This new strategy will be unveiled on Tuesday when West officially begins its season underpinned by veteran leadership and renewed optimism.
