Lincoln-Way West Wrestling Ready for Grueling 2025–26 Season and Postseason Push

The Lincoln-Way West boys varsity wrestling team is preparing to commence its 2025–26 season with a notably challenging schedule.

According to the team’s plans, the Warriors will face a combination of formidable opponents and participate in high-level tournaments, aiming to test their capabilities early in the season and prepare for a successful postseason. The team will begin its competitions on November 24 at Yorkville, followed by a visit to Naperville Central on November 27.

The schedule continues with a trip to Coralville, Iowa, for the esteemed Dan Gable Donnybrook on December 3–4, where they are expected to compete against top regional programs. December also includes away duals at Lockport, Bradley-Bourbonnais, Downers Grove South, and Hinsdale Central. Additionally, home meets are scheduled against Lincoln-Way East, Wheaton North, and Andrew.

In January, conference action begins with matches against Lincoln-Way Central, Stagg, Joliet West, culminating in a home dual versus Plainfield South on January 28. The month concludes with participation in the competitive Stagg Tournament as preparation for the demanding postseason.

February’s agenda starts with the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Regionals on February 5. This is followed by Sectionals on February 11–12 and the State Finals in Champaign from February 17–19. The Warriors’ postseason could extend through the IHSA Team Sectionals on February 22 and State Finals from February 25–26 before concluding their season at the Winter Awards Night on March 9.
