LWW boys bowling team finishes 17th at IHSA State Finals

The Lincoln Way West Warriors boys bowling team concluded their season by securing 17th place at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Finals, amassing a total of 5,808 points.

According to the team’s records, they competed against the top 24 teams from across the state, marking a significant achievement by placing 17th out of 216 teams that participated in the playoffs. This accomplishment represents the second consecutive year of substantial improvement for the program under Head Coach Scott Jablonski’s leadership. The Warriors began their postseason with a victory in the Sectional title and maintained their strong performance through to the state finals.

Jablonski praised his team’s efforts and expressed pride in their achievements. “Congratulations on a fantastic year and good luck to our two seniors. We are very proud of all of you. Warrior Pride,” he said.

The team roster featured senior bowlers Jayden Kristie and Logan Nicholls, juniors Nick Dul and Matthew Staniszewski, sophomores Matthew McLean and Nolan Drake, as well as freshmen Ryan Richter and Patrick Berlin. This season has been characterized by perseverance and growth, establishing the Warriors among the state’s elite teams.
