The Lincoln-Way West junior varsity girls bowling team placed third with a team total of 5,201 in a multi-team meet that included Plainfield South.
The tournament was held Jan. 10 at Town & Country Lanes, with competition beginning at 9 a.m.
Eve Brkovic led the Warriors with a fifth-place individual finish, posting a series of 1,102 to pace the lineup. Lincoln-Way West also had three additional medalists, as Michela Vinci placed seventh, Gwen Yakas finished eighth and Cadence Ander took ninth overall, giving the Warriors four bowlers inside the top 10.
The Warriors showed strong depth across the lineup, with consistent frames and spare conversions keeping their team total among the leaders throughout the event. Lincoln-Way West remained within striking distance of the top two teams through each rotation and finished the day with a cumulative score that reflected steady production in all three games.
With multiple bowlers earning individual medals and a top-three team result, the performance highlighted the program’s balance and competitiveness at the junior varsity level. The Warriors’ ability to place four athletes in the top 10 underscored their overall consistency and provided a strong benchmark for the group as the season continues.
