Lincoln-Way West’s junior varsity girls volleyball team picked up a straight-set victory over Lemont on Tuesday, winning 25-15, 25-18.
The Warriors relied on a balanced attack and steady defense to close out both sets and secure the sweep.
Cailyn Smith led the way with four kills, 10 digs and five assists, setting the tone both at the net and in the back row. Brooklynn Voss added three kills, three digs and an ace, giving West a strong presence at the net.
Libby Condon anchored the defense with five digs and also contributed two aces from the service line. Bailey Voss delivered three kills and three aces, adding momentum-shifting points in key moments.
Matelyn Jaral was effective in extending rallies, finishing with two kills and nine digs as West controlled play throughout.
Lincoln-Way West surged ahead early in the first set, pulling away for a 25-15 win. Lemont kept the second set closer, but the Warriors’ consistent serving and timely kills allowed them to finish the match 25-18.
With the victory, Lincoln-Way West showcased its depth and teamwork, demonstrating an ability to spread contributions across the lineup while maintaining control from start to finish.
