The Lincoln-Way West High School girls varsity badminton team delivered a determined performance Thursday afternoon but narrowly lost to Victor J. Andrew High School, 8-7, in a closely contested home match.

Held on April 10 at 4:30 p.m., the matchup showcased the Warriors’ grit and competitive spirit. According to the Lincoln-Way West coaching staff, despite the final score, Lincoln-Way West pushed their opponents to the limit, with several matches decided by just a few points. The team’s consistency and fight were evident across both singles and doubles play.

“These were incredibly close matches,” said the Lincoln-Way West coaching staff. “The girls left everything on the court. We’re proud of their effort and are confident heading into the conference championship.”
