Lincoln-Way West’s Allison Whalen represented the Warriors at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state bowling tournament, finishing in 58th place overall after advancing individually to Saturday’s finals.
According to the competition records, Whalen led her team on Friday with a six-game series of 1,170, securing her spot in the final round. Over the course of the two-day event at St. Clair Bowl, she posted a total pinfall of 2,202 across 12 games, averaging 183.5 per game.
Despite the Warriors not advancing as a team, Whalen’s performance highlighted the program’s competitive presence at the state level. Her consistency on the lanes showcased her dedication and skill throughout the tournament.
The IHSA state finals brought together top bowlers from across Illinois, providing Whalen with an opportunity to compete against elite talent. Her strong showing capped off an impressive season for Lincoln-Way West. Whalen’s performance will serve as motivation for the Warriors as they look ahead to next season.
