Warriors’ girls basketball falls to Plainfield North, 60‑59 in OT thriller

Lincoln-Way West pushed Plainfield North to the limit but fell 60–59 in overtime in a nonconference girls basketball matchup.

The game took place on Monday, December 15 at Plainfield North High School.

Lincoln-Way West led early and traded momentum throughout a tightly contested game that featured multiple lead changes and late-game drama. The Warriors forced overtime when Lucile Carlos scored in the closing seconds of regulation, sending the game into an extra period.

In overtime, Plainfield North narrowly edged Lincoln-Way West to secure the win. Isabella Koldoff led the Tigers with 18 points, followed by Taylor Henderson with 17 and Molly Finn with 14.

Lincoln-Way West will look to bounce back when it travels to face Lincoln-Way Central on Dec. 18.

The two teams also met during last season’s nonconference slate, when Plainfield North earned a 49–42 victory over Lincoln-Way West on Nov. 23, 2024.
