Lincoln-Way West battled throughout but dropped a 63–59 decision to Sandburg in a nonconference girls basketball game.

The game was played on Thursday, December 11 at Lincoln Way West High School.

The game was played at Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox, Illinois. The Warriors traded leads with Sandburg for much of the night in a tightly contested matchup. Lincoln-Way West kept the game within reach late, using timely 3-point shooting and aggressive drives to the basket to cut the deficit in the fourth quarter before Sandburg pulled ahead in the closing moments.

Sandburg capitalized on late defensive pressure to generate turnovers and transition points, helping secure the narrow road win. Both teams displayed balanced offensive contributions in a game that remained undecided until the final minutes.

Lincoln-Way West will continue its nonconference schedule when it hosts Plainfield North on Monday, Dec. 15, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m.

The matchup marked another close contest between the two programs, as Sandburg also defeated Lincoln-Way West in their previous meeting, earning a 57–46 win earlier in the calendar year.
