Tisch Leads Warriors From Backcourt

0Comments

Lincoln-Way West senior guard Ava Tisch served as the steady leader of the Warriors this season, guiding the offense while finishing as the team’s leading scorer and primary playmaker.

The Warriors’ season came to an end Feb. 19 when Lincoln-Way West fell to Homewood-Flossmoor 55-41 in the IHSA Class 4A Regional Championship.

Throughout the season, Tisch played a central role in the Warriors’ attack from the guard position. She averaged approximately 11.6 points per game while also leading the team in assists at about 3.1 per contest. As the primary ball-handler, Tisch was responsible for initiating the offense, controlling the tempo and creating scoring opportunities for teammates.

Her impact extended beyond scoring and passing. Tisch averaged roughly 2.8 rebounds per game and added about 1.7 steals per contest, consistently applying defensive pressure and helping spark transition opportunities for the Warriors.

More importantly, Tisch’s presence brought experience and composure to the backcourt. As a senior, she helped guide the team through the ups and downs of the season while setting the tone with her effort and leadership on the floor.

While the Warriors’ season concluded in February, Tisch’s contributions left a strong mark on Lincoln-Way West’s season and the program’s continued growth.
